U8 Academy
Due to the new Birth year Guidelines the U8 Academy has changed from previous years. The new U8 Academy will begin in January of 2017.
The U8 Academy is an intermediate program open to committed players who enjoy the game and are interested in playing for the Tonka United Traveling Program. Players will train and play under a combination of professional coaching and Parent Volunteers. The U8 Academy program will allow players who excel in Recreational Soccer to challenge themselves in a more competitive soccer environment.
Tonka United is focused on developing all of their youth players, especially our younger players, to create an environment that fosters skill growth, creativity, soccer IQ and most of all FUN
For Players Born in 2009 Birth Year
- Starts January 2017
- 1 day a week in the winter (Sundays at Hopkins West Jr High)
- 3 total soccer days per week begin mid April (Girls - Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) (Boys - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday)
- Games/Events begin Late April/Early May
- 1-2 additional tournaments (subject to additional costs for families)
- Ends late June/early July
