Our BU13 Pateadores Irvine team coached by Anthony Adams took Las Vegas by storm during Vegas Cup 2015. The boys fought hard against top ranked opponents from Arizona, Texas and Nevada. Bracketed in the top Gold BU13 flight, the boys easily defeated the #5 ranked Arizona team and progressed to the semi finals against the #2 ranked Liverpool FC of Texas. Many of our boys saw familiar faces as our Pats boys had faced them last year at Dallas Cup. After defeating Liverpool FC, the boys headed to the finals against the #1 ranked Nevada team LVSA. The game was tied 0-0 at half but things changed quickly during the second half defeating LVSA 2-1.
The weekend was a constant battle of offense and defense, while Coach Adams remained calm and collected during highly emotional games guiding his boys on to victory and Vegas Cup champions for 2015! With the Vegas victory under their belt, the team is now ranked #6 in Cal South.
