Chronopoulos said, “I will do everything in my power to see that the Pateadores’ Academy program develops players who have the skill and tactical awareness to compete at the highest levels of soccer. The Pateadores has a rich tradition of excellence. My goal, and that of the Pateadores’ talented coaching staff, is to honor that tradition and create a new era of sustained success.”
Prior to coaching, Chronopoulos was best known for his achievements as a professional soccer player. He played over 400 games professionally. He was a two-time MLS All-Star in 1997 and 2000, and MLS Player of the Week in May of 2000.
