The National Cup XI continued June 16-19 as 14 teams from 11 different clubs claimed championships at the West Regional (Boys), held at Turlock Sports Complex and Mistlin Sports Complex in Modesto, Calif. Leading the way with a pair of titles were Pateadores SC (both teams led by Head Coach Mario Gonzales), Walnut Creek SC and Merced Atlas Academy.
Winners in the U-13 through U-17 age groups from each Regional will advance to the National Cup XI Finals, to be held July 27-30 at Waukegan Sports Park in Waukegan, Ill. Regional play continues June 23-26 with the National Cup XI West Regional (Girls) in Modesto, Calif.; Southeast Regional in Richmond, Va.; and Northwest Regional in Seattle.
