Beaverton, Oregon - The Pateadores went undefeated (3-0-3) at the Manchester United Premier Cup US Finals held at the Nike Campus headquarters. Despite the team's success, the cruel math of pool play prevented the 15-year-olds from advancing to the knockout rounds.
The Pateadores Man U team was made up of select "all-star" players from all three BU15 teams and the BU14 pre-Academy team. The tournament is an international showcase featuring only under-15s (boys born on 1/1/1997 or later). The event was an amazing life experience for the young athletes. Nike invites only 20 of the top teams in the US that consist of many of the top players at the U15 level.
Tournament recap: The Pats posted wins against Real Colorado 2-1, FC Delco (Pennsylvania) 1-0 and Weston FC (Florida) 1-0 and tied Arsenal FC (SoCal) 1-1, PDA (New Jersey) 0-0, and OSSA (Oregon) 0-0.
