The new and improved Pateadores GU9 made many new soccer fans as they marched to victory this past weekend at the annual Wolfpack Classic.
They survived what many considered the pool of death as they triumphed over Manhattan Beach and the Fullerton Rangers 2-1 and 4-2. Sunday morning found them down 1-0 at the half to the perennial favorites, Legends FC.
The girls came out in the second half on fire as they scored three great goals by Desiree Mendoza, Mia Turchi and Keyla Fragoso to come from behind to win the pool over Legends 3-2.
Still firing on all cylinders, the momentum carried into the final as the Lady Pats exploded with a 6-0 victory over the So Cal Blues in the final. The girls will be riding high into their own tournament July 23-25 at Pats Cup looking for their third consecutive title.
