The BU14 Blue climbed one of the highest mountains in youth soccer by winning the 2010 Coast Soccer League Cup. They defeated Santa Ana FC 2-1 in the finals, playing with an abundance of passion and technical skill.
The road to the championship was long for the BU14 Blue, with over 100 teams competing in the pretigious competition. On Sunday morning, in stormy conditions, their fate hung in the balance as they ended regulation tied 1-1 against West Coast FC in the semi-final game. But the BU14 Blue combined nerves of steel and top-notch goaltending to win on PKs 2-1.
Head Coach Tony Adams said, "We had to overcome some excellent teams in all types of conditions on our journey to the championship. I'm very proud and happy for what the team has achieved.
