Coach Armando Orizaba grew up in Anaheim CA where he attended Katella High School. As a player at Katella HS he started on the Varsity team as a freshmen. He went on to win 3 Empire League Championships and made it to the semi finals of CIF in 1991. After high school he attended Chapman University where he started as a freshmen and played all 4 years. He received his bachelors degree in Mathematics and his teaching credential.
After graduating from Chapman University he went to his alma mater to be the Head Varsity Coach. At Katella HS he was a Math teacher for 6 years and was the head soccer coach for 6 years as well. During those 6 years he was Empire League Champion 3 years and was Empire League Coach of the year 2 times.
Coach Armando also coached for United FC for 16 years. At United FC he focused on the development of the younger's program. He was able to win a few CSL championships and also coached a few first place teams for SCDSL. He was also State Cup Champion in 2003. Coach Armando followed director Matt Swindle to the Pateadores soccer club where he is coaching 2 younger teams. Coach Armando lives in Mission Viejo and is not married and has a beautiful 17 year old daughter who is the most important person to him.
