The Pateadores’ US Development Academy teams showed intensity and resolve in pre-season “friendlies” that bodes well for the upcoming 2010/2011 season.
These early signs of promise can be attributed to two key developments. First, the Pateadores partnership with South Bay SC deepened the talent pool. Second, the opening of the Pateadores Development Academy Training Center attracted elite players, born in the years 1992-1997, from the best regional clubs. The Pateadores Academy coaches trained these players in a variety of challenging, advanced technical and tactical exercises. Full team scrimmages further enhanced the players’ ability to execute the coaches’ system.
Pateadores Director of the US Academy Matt Tutton and South Bay Director Todd Saldana are excited for what’s ahead. “We continue to attract the areas best players and, through the Academy program, we are preparing them in the right way for college, national and professional team duties,” Tutton said.
