Milford Pop Warner Youth Football & Cheer

Welcome to the Milford Pop Warner 2025 Season!

Thank you so much for signing up your child to be a member of our Lil Bucs team! Milford Pop Warner is a non-profit run solely by parent volunteers, and volunteers are always needed to keep the organization running! There are many opportunities available that can be managed by busy parents with a very small time commitment. It is not only personally rewarding but also a lot of fun! It’s simple - the more you put into the organization the more you’ll get back. We encourage all parents to attend our monthly board meetings to stay up-to-date with the organization, fundraising, and volunteer needs. Monthly board meetings are held at 6:30pm on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Pop Warner Building. All parents are welcome to attend from 6:30-7:00pm for the public session of the meetings.

The first practice of the season will be held on Tuesday, July 15th. Please be advised that certain requirements need to be met in order for your child to participate in the 1st game, so if you are planning on missing practices please talk to your team's head coach. Practices will be held every Monday through Thursday from 6:00-8:30pm until after Labor Day Weekend. Starting on September 2nd practices will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening, from 6-8pm. Our season typically runs 15 weeks, contingent upon rescheduled games for inclement weather and/or Play-Off and Bowl Games. Both Cheer and Football Participants will be practicing at the Pop Warner Building in August; Cheer will move to an indoor location in September. The Head Coach will notify you of any changes to the team’s schedules. All cheer and football participants will be required to be signed in & signed out at every practice during July & August. Please be advised that in order for your child to start practice all of the proper paperwork and signatures must be turned in on or before July 15th, which includes reviewing & signing all necessary documents included in this packet, along with the FINAL REGISTRATION PAYMENT!!

All games are typically played on Saturdays, starting in late August/early September. Once the season has started and we are given game locations and times from our league, you will be notified and receive a game schedule. All Athletes will need to arrive at the field 1.5 hours prior to the game start time for check ins and warm ups. Adult Volunteers are needed for all home games, played on the Milford High School Field.

Please be advised that all board members, coaches, & team parents need to have a background check on file. If we do not have enough volunteers (chain gang, play counts, etc.) for the games we will have to forfeit. So please consider volunteering a small amount of your time!

Cheerleaders will cheer at all weekly football games throughout the Henlopen and/or Regional Championships if their team advances. Cheerleaders will also compete at the Henlopen Cheer Competition in mid-October. If they advance, Mitey Mite & Jr Peewee Cheer will compete in NJ in late October or early November and possibly the National Championships in Charlotte, NC in early December.
