Welcome to Delmar Youth
League Basketball’s website. We are a youth organization dedicated to teaching
youth from 5 to 12 years old the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship.
We hope your child is as excited to play as we are to watch them grow and find
their passion for the game!
Registration will begin on
November 6, 2024, and will end no later than January 4, 2025. The cost this
year will be $50 for the first child in your immediate family, and $10 for each
additional sibling.
We will decide on player
placement for teams sometime before Christmas. Team assignments will be announced
via email and text. A coach may be requested upon registration, but not
guaranteed!
We will start the season on December 21, 2024,
with an orientation for the kids to meet their coaches and teammates. We will have a second practice on December 28, 2024 . Our first
game will be on January 4, 2025. The season will run for 8 weeks, with the
championship games on February 22, 2025. In the event of a cancellation due to
weather or extenuating circumstances, there will not be make up games.
Our Saturdays start at 8:00 am with the 5 & 6 year old's. The day's games progresses by age, ending with the 10-12 year old boys games.
The games are approx. one hour. We do not have any games or practices during the week.
Your child will get a game shirt at the first game
that must be returned to the coach after every game. Your coach will launder
the shirts and have them ready by the following week. Please do not forget to
have your child give the coach their shirt before they leave the property after
each game!
Schedules will be ready at the first practice and
will be distributed at that time. We will also post schedules on our website.
ALL children MUST be accompanied by an adult
over the age of eighteen and supervised accordingly. We also do not allow
basketballs brought in from home.
