Jordan Malloy Slices Through Michigan As Ohio Shuts Out Michigan

Jordan Malloy threw a shutout to lead Ohio past Michigan 8-0 on Sunday at the Little League Central Region Complex.
Ohio advances to play Illinois in GAME 6 on Monday, August 4 at 7pm. The winner of the Ohio/Illinois game advances to the Great Lakes Region Tournament Championship Game. Michigan will play the winner of the Kentucky/Indiana game at 1pm in GAME 5 on Monday, August 4.
Ohio got on the board in the first inning after Preston Baker singled, scoring one run.
A single by Oakley Turner extended the Ohio lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.
Ohio added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after TJ Madden tripled to center field, Preston Baker singled down the left field line, and Jonathan Lineback singled to center field, each scoring one run.
West Side pitching has yielded 0 runs on 6 hits, 5 walks and 14 strikeouts in 12 innings of work.
Nathan Harvala stepped on the bump first for Michigan. The starter allowed eight hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three and walking four.
Ohio collected 10 hits in the game. Preston Baker provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Ohio with two runs batted in. The second baseman went 3-for-3 on the day. Jonathan Lineback collected two hits for Ohio in three at bats. Ohio had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Jordan Malloy and Boone Treadway led the team with two bases on balls each.
Nathan Harvala, Bazil Hill, Evan Cardinal, Thomas Dix, and Maddox Halamka each collected one hit for Michigan.
