WLL Announces 2022 Winter Tryouts

Tryouts
Any player registering to play in the AAA Division and above will need to tryout this year (the exception being players returning to a Major League division team). Any player not already rostered to a Major League team and considered baseball league age 9-16 (with a birthday between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2013) will need to attend at least one tryout.
Please note that if you attended tryouts for the Major League division in the fall, you should NOT attend a winter tryout.

Saturday February 5th
“The Show” in Peabody, MA / 637 Lowell Street / Peabody MA
AAA and Majors Division
(Players with birthdates between August 31, 2013 and September 1, 2009)
Start Time: 12:00pm
50-70 Intermediate, Middle School, and Senior League Big Diamond
(Players with birthdates between August 31, 2009 and September 1, 2005)
Start Time: 2:00pm

Sunday, February 13th
“The Show” in Peabody, MA / 637 Lowell Street / Peabody MA
All Age Divisions
Start Time: 12:00pm

*Please note that in order for a player to be eligible to be drafted to a Major League team, s/he will have had to have attended at least one of either the fall tryouts or the above winter tryouts*

Team Placement
Roster construction will begin in March following the close of the registration period. Players can expect to be notified of their team placement beginning in mid- to late-March. Please note that beginning in the AAA Division, teams are constructed via a Draft System, so the league can not guarantee any team placement requests. This applies to players born between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2013.
