Awards and Closing Ceremonies

Briarwood Families,

This season has gone by too fast! It seems like just last week we were given the 'ok' to hold games and now here we are in the final week of the regular season.

I will start by saying 'THANK YOU'! Thank you to the athletes, our families, volunteers, and our community members for a successful season! Without YOUR support, the 2021 season would not have been possible.

This was definitely a unique year where we couldn't hold in person opening or closing ceremonies, a full offering in the snack shack (yes, we miss those hot dogs and nachos too!), our fundraising events and especially our annual movie night However, this is the first and only year that I am happy to say was uneventful! Uneventful in the sense that we did not experience a single COVID related incident. This is a reflection on how serious our community has taken the pandemic and following our COVID protocols. I would urge each of you to not let up on screening your players and following health and safety protocols in the home stretch so that we can finish the season strong and safe!

This year was truly about the kids and getting them back on the field. I cannot tell you how warming it is to see their faces, hear their laughter, and watch the athletes get acquainted with their teams and continue to develop their skills.

As we wrap up the season, we will not be holding our usual closing ceremonies but instead having a small meeting for each division. During each meeting, players will receive their photos from our 5/22 Picture Day, a keepsake from BELL, and a couple of other gifts. Please check below for your division meeting in case you have not already been informed by your team manager/head coach. Additionally, some of our teams and players will continue in the postseason into the Tournament of Champions (TOC) and/or the All-Stars for District 44. Check the schedule and stop by to cheer on and support our BELL athletes!

Lastly, to help us in planning for next year, you will receive a request to nominate and vote for our 2022 Board Members.
