1.     If we are uncomfortable sending our child out on the road for games with certain teams (or any games at all) how will that be handled by the Club?

With regards to game-day decisions, the Club (and the coaches) certainly understand that families may not feel comfortable with their children playing in certain matches/locations. Coaches and team managers will require that parents notify them as soon as possible if their child is unable to attend a game for any reason.

2.     Where can I see a refund policy? And what will happen if for example, we practice for 2 weeks and the season is suspended due COVID-19? Will we be able to get some money back?

3.     My child has historically “played up” a grade, but when I go to register, I do not have the option to register him/her with the appropriate team?

Under the state's new registration system, all players must be registered into their proper age cohort during the initial registration. Once the registrations are closed, the coaches will make decisions regarding team designations. If the coaches choose to move a player up, the registrar will transfer the registration in the system to the appropriate group and then settle the finances accordingly.

4.     My child has been waitlisted at registration even though the registration was submitted before the stated deadline. Does that mean my child will not be able to play this Fall?

The new registration platform automatically waitlists players once we hit the max roster number for a single team per age group/gender. Anyone that registers before the stated deadline will have a roster spot this season. The registrar will contact you once the player is removed from the waitlist so that payment can be completed to finish the registration process.

5.     My child has moved to a new team within the Travel program (U9 - U15) and his/her uniform does or does not still fit. What should I do?

Players typically keep the numbers they are assigned by the Club's registrar throughout their Travel playing careers. If something is too small, simply contact Soccer & Rugby to place an order for a bigger size. Kits do not need to be purchased all at once, so you can upgrade a single jersey, multiple jerseys, shorts, or the whole kit. When assigning numbers, the registrar looks at the number assignments for the group a year ahead and a year after as birth year groups are combined when the Travel teams move to full-sided games at U13 and/or U15. When possible, the Club tries to minimize "changing numbers" as it creates additional work.

6.     Why have many of the practices been shortened compared to what we have seen in the past? For example, many of the Boys’ travel practices are now only 75 minutes where they used to be 90. On the Girls’ U12 and older teams, some practices are still 90 minutes while others are only 50 minutes.

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions and the Club's commitment to maintaining consistent cohorts as much as possible, each practice now needs to be conducted separately (i.e. there are no more combined practices on the boys’ or girls’ side). The Club also now requires a 10 to 15-minute buffer in between practices taking place on the same field to allow one cohort an opportunity to leave before the next cohort arrives. The coaches carefully designed the practice schedules with these parameters in mind to ensure that the teams get consistent practice times within these guidelines.
