West MIfflin Soccer Club - Call to Action

Hello Soccer Families –

We are excited for the return of our Indoor Soccer training sessions that will begin in January of 2024!! We are also anxiously awaiting the start of another soccer season in the Spring of 2024. As the West Mifflin Soccer Club (WMSC) continues to grow and evolve, the need for additional help and fresh ideas to keep the club moving in the right direction is paramount.

Organizational volunteers, especially those that have been at the forefront of running the WMSC over the last several years, get involved in making a positive impact for all kids, but most if not all, do so as part of their own child’s involvement. As all our kids grow older, our roles and abilities as volunteers change with the age, interest, and abilities of our kids. It is with this in mind that we are soliciting assistance in staffing the next wave of WMSC Board Members to make decisions that are in the best interest of the club, generate fresh ideas of where there are opportunities to be better and continue to serve West Mifflin and surrounding communities with a positive playing experience. We are looking for volunteers that understand they are signing up to be a part of something bigger than themselves and are willing to put in some additional time to make a large impact on the youth of the community.

We have several existing board members that have children that are aging out of the heart of WMSC participation and because of the next step in their own child(ren’s) development, must reprioritize their focus and attention. The ask is for each of you to consider an elevated level of involvement with the club and being a part of a group to guide the club into the next generation. Board positions are designed with a balance of responsibilities to avoid overloading any 1 position. While we do have several positions that will need filled, everyone is committed to assisting the transfer of responsibilities to make it seamless and smooth.

We are current in need of volunteers due to vacancies following the fall season so there is urgency behind this call to action. We look forward to hearing from you!
