UPDATE: EVALS, REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Hello Cactus Little League families.

Just wanted to pass along some updates as we approach the start of the spring season:

* We will NOT be conducting a makeup evaluation session because attendance was outstanding! Thanks to everyone for participating earlier this week.

* Online registration will remain open through this Sunday, Feb. 18. However, anyone who registers for Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Minors or Majors will be placed on the wait list for now because we don't have enough head coaches to add teams.

* If you're interested in becoming a head coach at any of those levels, please let us know. The only way we can add more players is if we have more coaches. We are happy to address any questions you might have about coaching.

* We still have roster spots available for 50/70 and Juniors baseball. 50/70 is meant for 13-year-olds, but 12-year-olds also can play if they're ready for a challenge beyond Majors. Juniors is meant for 14-year-olds, but 15-year-olds also can play (regular season only; not eligible for All-Stars).

* We still have openings in softball as well. That said, this is another spot where we need a coach or coaches to step up. The most registrants we have so far are at the Minors level. We will work in conjunction with Randolph Little League to form teams. The more kids we have from within our boundary, the greater the chance that team or teams will practice and play in our parks.

* We hope to have all the teams figured out by the end of this month. Practices will begin shortly thereafter. Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for March 23.
