RULES

Levels of Play

Instructional Class -  Saturday Mornings

Ages 3 1/2 to Kindergarten.

Saturdays 8:45 am to 10:15 am.

About the Program

  • Traditional KIDBALL class structure – Parental involvement is a must!
  • Recommended for those new to the game if not quite ready for option 2.
  • Parents are the Quarterbacks!
  • Coaches lead the practice and “game”
  • No competition – no score kept – the emphasis is on the skills
  • Final games played on Turf field at location TBD
  •  

Competitive League 

1st - 8th Grade. 6-7+ players per team. Quarterbacks are either a Parent or a Team Player - based on division of play.
Games played on Saturdays in Potomac, MD

Dates of the League  

Season goes 8 weeks October 24/25 - December 12/13

  • Thanksgiving Weekend is a regular weekend of play

Playoffs and Finals will be the first two weekends in December and will be played on the turf field at a location TBD!

 

Game times of the League  (This year games will be played on Saturdays with Sunday a flexible day for conflicts and rain make-ups as needed)

Pre-K-K, 1st Grade  8:30 - 10:00am
2nd, 3rd Grades 10:30 - 12:30
4th, 5th Grades 12:30 - 2:30
6th, 7th, 8th Grades 2:30 - 4:30

Game start times will be staggered to allow for social distancing and flexible use of fields.  To stay within the 50 people person maximum, please follow the  one player/one parent (guardian) policy.

About the Program

  • KIDBALL coaches assess and pair teams weekly for games in order to provide all teams the best, most equally matched competition. A predetermined schedule does not allow for effectively matched teams.
  • KIDBALL coaches on site at all times to assist in coaching techniques and rules interpretation.
  • Team preference – assigned filled based on availability from Flag Football
  • Form your own team of 6+ players in your age group
  • Come as a single player and we will create teams
  • Score will be kept- 6 pt. TD, 1 pt extra point, 2 pt. FG
  • Standings will be kept – Trophies to 1st place, Medals to 2nd place
  • Playoffs
  • Final games played on Turf field at location TBD

Equipment

Provided At First Session (included in fee):

  • Jersey
  • Face Gaiter
  • Flag Belt
  • Head Coaches' Duffle bag
FOOTBALLS:
  • Teams may use any type/size football they choose.  Please bring a football your quarterback is comfortable throwing and can be easily caught by your players. 

Includes 90-120 minutes instruction and game time, Jersey, flags and, safety face gaiter.
