Overview

The goal of our TYSA Competitive Program (also known as "Classic") is to provide talented young athletes, who possess a strong interest in soccer training and competition, an environment that will allow them to reach their maximum potential in the sport. We offer the highest level of soccer training available to youth in Transylvania County.

Classic play is designed/ideal for the player looking to play in the most challenging environment offered within the organization. Players entering this program are typically looking to play at the higher levels as they get older (high school, college, professional). The Competitive level utilizes the best coaching resources and is available for the U12-U14 age groups(2007 birth year and younger).

Cost

Right now the cost to participate in our competitive program is approximately 500 dollars which includes a 250 dollar club fee and approximately 250 for the uniform kit. Parents/families will be given the link to purchase the uniforms from our organization's web portal with lloydssoccer.com. Tournament fees and travel expenses are not included in the 500 dollar amount mentioned above.

Training

All competitive players will train 2-3 times per week at the Transylvania County Parks & Recreation Facility. Fall season will run August through November, and spring season will run February through May

Games

Games are primarily played on weekends. Home games take place at the City of Brevard Sports Complex. Travel for away games usually consists of about 4-6 games ranging from Asheville to the Charlotte area. Each team typically participates in tournaments during the season as well based on geographical locations and availability.

FALL 2020 Tryouts

Fall Tryouts for our Girls U14 Classic Team (2007 birth year and younger) will be held on June 16th, 2020 from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Tryouts will be held at the Transylvania County Parks and Rec Facility on the U10/U12 Fields (adjacent to the walk/bike path). There is no fee to tryout, but you must register to attend. To register for tryouts you must login or create an account and add your player's information. Once you are logged in you will be able to see the available programs for your player. COVID-19 TRYOUT NOTICE* : We will only hold physical tryouts and placement evaluations in the event that it is safe to do so as directed by health and government officials; otherwise, teams will be made based on previous knowledge of players. For new players with no previous knowledge of having seen them play, we will work with them individually on placing them into the correct developmental spot. New players should contact the corresponding program director upon registration.
