12U ANGELS DEFEAT RATTLERS TO WIN RUNNER-UP (14-3)

GREENVILLE, SC -Angels blew out Palmetto Rattlers 14-3 for the win and 2nd place in the weekend's tournament on Sunday. Ogletree and his Angels Offense was firing on all cyclers come Sunday. Preston Callahan started it off with a single on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The Angles continued to rally as they added six runs in the third inning. Jake Higginbottom, Owen Bright, Collin Johnson, Brayden Johnson and Khairo Woody all powered the big innings driving in RBIs. Preston Callahan was credited with the victory for the Angels. Callahan pitched three innings, allowing only three runs on four hits and striking out two. Owen Bright finished the game on the mound pitching one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The bats got hot and stayed hot as the Angels tallied up 12 hits on the day. Owen Bright, Preston Callahan, Jake Higginbottom and Khario Woody each collected multiple hits for their team. Woody, Higginbottom, Callahan and Owen Bright each collected two hits to the Angels. Defensively the Angels were perfect as they didn't commit a single error in the field. Collin had the most chances in the field with four. Owen led the Angels with three stolen bases and the team collected the bags finishing with 12 stolen bases.
