Coaches / Trainers

• Coaches policy will be from 8U – 19U

• Any coach who accumulates 3 yellow cards in a MOSA season will result in a 1 game suspension. This does not include tournaments or MOSA cup challenges.

• Any coach who accumulates 3 yellow cards during a season will be required to come before the board with their MOSA representative.

• Each subsequent yellow card received by the coach will be treated as another 1 game suspension and another appearance before the MOSA board with their MOSA representative.

• If the third yellow card is obtained by the coach in the last game of the season, the 1 game suspension will be served by the coach during the first game of the following season in which he coaches in MOSA.

• The MOSA board will review the accumulation of 3 yellow cards by a coach in a season and may take into consideration a coach who coaches multiple teams, the length between yellow cards and yellow cards that are given for parent side line behavior.

• The MOSA board may impose a minimum fine of $100 for each game suspension issued because of the accumulation of yellow cards by a coach.

• A club may appeal the decision to suspend a coach or trainer by writing an email to MOSA within 24 hours of being notified of the suspension.

Players

• Player policy will be from 13U – 19U (11v11)

• If a player accumulates 4 yellow cards is a season it will result in a 1 game suspension. This does not include tournaments or MOSA cup challenges.

• Each subsequent yellow card obtained by the player will result in another 1 game suspension.

• The MOSA board will review the accumulation of 4 yellow cards by a player in a season and may take into consideration a player who plays for multiple teams and the length between yellow cards. 

• A club may appeal the decision to suspend a player by writing an email to MOSA within 24 hours of being notified of the suspension.

Parents 

• Parent policy will be from 8U – 19U

• If a team’s sideline receives 3 yellow cards in a MOSA season the club will be required to purchase the Soccer Parenting Association and the team’s parents must complete an online course, determined by the MOSA board, within two weeks. 

• Failure to comply with completing the online course may result in the forfeiture of games and the club may be fined a minimum of $100.
