Academy Summer Camps (Ages 6-18) - Introduction to Futsal

A variety of summer camps for all levels including Recreational, Academy, Competitive, and Goalkeeping. All camps focus on Soccer - some are more intense while others are a combination of soccer fun and sportsmanship.  Futsal is introduced to day campers using their running shoes on a marked off section of the parking lot.  Introducing techniques to gain ball control and improve ball handling are key fundamentals at the beginner level.  Fun games and skill drills are introduced during camp that they can practice at home using equipment they already have: shoes and a ball. 

Academy Futsal - open to Recreation (Ages 8-18) and 1st season LUSC - Beginner Individual Development

Academy Futsal is open to Recreational players and 1st season LUSC players. Academy Futsal is a progressive skills futsal program that develops individual skills and sportsmanship in a team environment for children 8 to 18 years old. Practices are held during the week. Offered in winter each year. U14, U12, U10 may have an opportunity to play area programs in late winter in friendly games if there are enough players (need 7-11 per team).  For any games the black side out for LSA jerseys in combination with the LUSC black game jerseys (which ever program you are coming from) can be used to reduce additional program costs.

Equipment: You will need to purchase futsal shoes and a futsal ball.
Fees: will be charged to cover the cost of the practice courts, TBD. We hope to keep costs at the LSA recreational season fee.

Leavenworth United Soccer Club (LUSC) Competitive Program (U9-U18) - Intermediate development / league play

Players try out in June each year for a Competitive team and tend to play the full year with  fall soccer/ winter futsal/ spring soccer season at the age brackets below High School. 

LUSC Futsal Teams are formed by age and skill levels, and once players are ready, they are welcome to join LUSC in the winter Futsal season.  Teams are formed in early September so that rosters can be submitted.  There are 8 games a season and the season is Nov - Feb with breaks for Thanksgiving and winter school break.  Indoor practice starts Nov 1st. 

Equipment: You will need to purchase futsal shoes and a futsal ball.
Fee: If you did not play competitive soccer in the fall, then the $50 LUSC fee will be due, a portion of this pays the state registration for your player. Futsal fees are determined by number of rostered players, as there are rental fees for practice courts and league fees to be split among the team. Fees may range from $150-200.   

Select Academy Futsal - Advanced play

LUSC competitive futsal players may receive an invitation to join the Select Academy Futsal program.  The Select Academy is an intense 10 weeks of Saturday practices, usually an hour and a half to build advance individual skills, speed and futsal IQ.  Using a focused approach on the learning objective for the session, individual exercises, small group drills and larger format scrimmages will lead the player from new concept to practical application.  Alumni from the predecessor of this program have gone on to US Youth Futsal State, Regional and National teams - see the Achievement/US Youth Futsal page for details.

Equipment: You will need to purchase futsal shoes and a futsal ball.
Fee: Participants will split the rental fees for practice courts.  Winter of 2020 the fee was $40 per player.
