Fundraising Success for Max Cure Foundation

This year, MYS expanded its fundraising efforts to support Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September. The proceeds from the sales of Gold socks and laces will benefit Max Cure - a local group founded by an MYS coach which supports local residents. Many teams purchased their gold socks and laces to wear during practices and games. We are so proud of our teams' efforts in raising $1200!

"On behalf of the Max Cure Foundation, we wish to express our sincere appreciation to McLean Youth Soccer and all the families that participated in raising money this past September in connection with childhood cancer awareness month. As part of our mission, Max Cure utilizes funds to directly support families with a child in active treatment for cancer while experiencing financial difficulties. MYS' support will provide Max Cure the ability to help support more families in the greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area in an effort to ease some of the financial burdens experienced as a result of having a child diagnosed with cancer. Max Cure has now provided in excess of $700,000 to over 150 families." ~ Jonathan Agin, Max Cure Director
