Men and Women Travel to Jacksonville and Bring Back 3 Points - Men Face FC Florida Tonight at HOME

MIAMI, FL (June 8, 2022) - Progress continues to be made within the Men’s and Women’s teams this season after this weekend's away double header. The women were able to bring home another great win against Florida Elite SA while the Men faced a devastating loss against Florida Elite SA after beating them 3-0 last Wednesday. Positive energy came from all sides of the pitch this weekend as Miami AC gave it their all during Match Day #4.


The Women’s team brought home another excellent win this past weekend. They were led in goals by Lovelie Pierre who put up 2 goals with an assist from Edjenie Joseph and Natalia Lima who tallied another goal assisted by Alexia Spencer for the MAC Women and lifted them to a fantastic 3-1 win. D’Yolanda Pineda was named the Acai Brazil Player of the Match as her efforts throughout the game did not go unnoticed. Her grit and technical abilities aided in the team's win on Saturday afternoon. The Women will host Tampa Bay United on Saturday, June 11th at 3:00pm at Christopher Columbus High School hungry for another win to kick off a doubleheader evening.


Rough night for the Men as their game ended in a 4-1 loss. After traveling to Jacksonville to take on Florida Elite SA once again, Jonathan Bishweka scored the lone goal for Miami AC in the 88th minute from a penalty kick. Despite the hard loss, Paulo Alves was named the Acai Brazil Player of the Match stong work and defense against Florida Elite SA. The Men will host FC Florida tonight, Wednesday, June 8th at 6:00pm at Christopher Columbus High School in hopes to bring home a win on Match Day #5.
