Miami Athletic Club On The Road Again - Women Kickoff at 3pm and Men at 7pm vs Florida Elite SA

MIAMI, FL (June 4, 2022) - The new month is off to a great start, as both the Men’s and Women’s teams were able to secure 3 points earlier this week. Wins were secured as the Women’s team traveled to Florida Southern College to take on Caledonia SC, while the Men welcomed strong Florida Elite SA to a home game at Edward Pace High School. Vibes were positive and high-spirited on the pitch last night as Miami AC continues to make its mark here in South Florida.

The Women’s team showed great intensity and grit as they secured an honorable 2-1 win over the fierce Caledonia SC squad in Lakeland. D’Yolanda Pineda tallied an excellent first goal of the game in the twenty-second minute of the match and Lovelie Pierre knocked in a fantastic second seven minutes into the second half to help the MAC Women grab their first win of the season. Lexi Spencer’s playmaking abilities provided the assist to both goals on the night as the women left the pitch with their spirits high as they continue their season in the USL W League. Congratulations to Lovelie Pierre on earning the Acai Brazil Player of the Match for her tremendous skill during the match and securing an important goal for the Women’s first win. The Women have traveled to Mandarin High School to take on Florida Elite SA today, this Saturday at 3:00pm.

The Men’s team battled to a well-deserved 3-0 win Thursday night against the tough Florida Elite SA. A fantastic performance was led by Paulo Alves, who scored a beautiful first goal twenty-two minutes into the game assisted by Victor Lucca. The second and third goals were scored by Lucca in the thirty-fifth and forty-ninth minutes of the match with top-rated assists by Felipe Jaime and Noah Costa in a class performance. Victor Lucca has earned Acai Brazil Player of the Match as the striker had a field day with two goals and an assist. Congratulations Victor! The Men will also play at Mandarin High School this evening as they take on Florida Elite SA at 7:00pm to complete the double header.
