As part of the West Virginia Soccer Association's (WVSA) Return to Play protocols (
http://www.wvsoccer.net/rtp), we must track all players at a practice or game. We have created a Google Form at
https://forms.gle/QPCtoCeiqh94emgR9 for that purpose. Your coach may have another method of tracking, which is fine. We just need to know who was at a practice or game for contact tracing purposes should one of our members test positive for COVID 19. Fingers crossed we never have to use it, but it is a requirement by the WVSA.
By now, you should be well aware of the steps we must take. They are very similar to what has become new normal. Some other parts of the Return to Play guidelines are:
- Players should wear a mask to and from the practice/game field and when not actively playing
- Spectators who are not from the same home should maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet
- Spectators should wear a mask at all times possible
With the prevalence of vaccines now, we are hopefully close to the point where these guidelines won't be necessary. Please help us avoid a situation that would shut down a team or teams due to an outbreak.
