Who is TRAC Soccer:
TRAC Soccer is a volunteer-run, community-based youth soccer club based in Ellijay, Georgia (Gilmer County). TRAC Soccer is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and an affiliate of Georgia Soccer. We provide soccer programing for youth ages 3 - 18. The hallmarks our of program are player development, healthy competition, and fun. TRAC Soccer is in partnership with Gilmer County Parks and Recreation.
When does soccer begin and end?
Fall soccer practice begins in mid August. Regular season games begin the weekend after Labor Day. The season ends in mid November.
Spring soccer practice begins in mid February. Regular season games begin the first weekend in March. The season ends in mid May.
What age group will my child be in?
Age groups are determined by birth year. Your child will be in the same age group in the spring as they were in the fall.
For Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, the recreational age groups are as follows:
6U (Kickstart): Kids born in 2015, 2016, and 2017
8U: Kids born in 2013 and 2014
10U: Kids born in 2011 and 2012
12U: Kids born in 2009 and 2010
14U: Kids born in 2007 and 2008
16U: Kids born in 2005 and 2006
19U: Kids born in 2002, 2003, and 2004
A younger child can play on an older team, but an older child can not play on a younger team. If you want your child to play up, please indicate that in the comments section of your registration.
How much does it cost? What does the registration fee cover?
Kickstart (6U) is $40 per season.
8U - 19U recreational is $80 per season.
Select (Athena or Classic) is $100 per season.
You must pay at least half of fee at registration. The second half is due by the first game.
The registration fee covers your child's Georgia Soccer membership, Park and Rec fees, referee fees, coaching and field equipment, and field maintenance/paint. The fee DOES NOT include the uniform.
FOR SPRING 2021, Ellijay Urgent Care and Family Practice, the office of Dr. Thomas Nguyen, is purchasing jerseys for all recreational players. You DO NOT need to order a jersey online for Spring 2021.
What will I need to get for my child?
1) Solid black shorts and solid black socks. Socks must be long enough to cover the shin guards.
2) Shin guards - mandatory for all age groups
3) Soccer cleats - recommended for all age groups, but not required for 6U and 8U.
4) Ball - size 3 for 6U and 8U. Size 4 for 10U and 12U. Size 5 for 13U and up.

When and where are the practices?
All practices are at the Gilmer County Soccer Complex off Progress Rd in Ellijay.
Recreational teams practice two weeknights a week. Practice days and times are chosen by the coaches, but they are on the same schedule every week.
When and where are the games?
Kickstart (6U) does not have a game schedule. All training sessions are at the Gilmer County Soccer Complex.
8U games are on Saturdays at the Gilmer County Soccer Complex. NOTE: 8U Girls will have games at Badger Creek Park in Holly Springs for Spring 2021.
10U and 12U games are on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday afternoons at Badger Creek Park in Holly Springs.
14U and up games are on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday afternoons. These games are scheduled by Georgia Soccer. Half the games are at home and half the games are away. Depending on the other teams in the bracket, you may travel up to 2 hours for an away game.
Are the teams coed?
The Kickstart program is coed.
Beginning at 8U, there are separate teams for girls and boys. A girl can play on a boys team if there is not a girls team in her age group. Boys can not play on girls teams.
How do I register?
Register online by clicking on the Register button at the top right of this website. You must complete your registration by making an payment online.

How do I become a coach?
TRAC Soccer is always looking for volunteer coaches! You can sign up to coach when you register your child or go to Volunteer Opportunities under the Registration Info tab. Every coach completes a background check, SafeSport certification, and Concussion Awareness training. There is no cost to the coach for these.
