2022 Spring EHYS Travel Soccer Program (2003-2007)

East Haven Youth Soccer Travel program is for players turning 15 -19 in 2022
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches/managers/assistant coaches.

Practices:
-Week Night -2 Evenings by Professional/Parent coaches at Moulthrop Field
-First practice is TBA

Team size Depending on Age group:
15-20 players per team - Teams play 11v11

Games:
Saturdays/Sundays at EHYS Home Fields and other South Central District teams Home Fields


Equipment:
-Uniform: EHYS T-shirts are supplied as part of registration. Players require black shorts/socks (available on-line if you need them or purchase your own)
-Required: shin guards, cleats, size #5 ball

Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches/managers/assistant coaches.

Practices:
-Week Night -2 Evenings by Professional/Parent coaches at Gillis/Talmadge (U12) or Moulthrop Field (U14)
-First practice is TBA

Team size Depending on Age group:
-U10/11/12 (2012./2011/2010)- 12-16 player per team - Teams play 9v9
-U13/14 (2009/2008) 15-20 players per team - Teams play 11v11

Games:
Saturdays/Sundays at EHYS Home Fields and other South Central District teams Home Fields


Equipment:
-Uniform: Full Uniforms Required and can be used for MULTIPLE SEASONS. Ordered as part of the Registration Process if needed
-Required: shin guards, cleats, size #4 ball for U10-12 Size #5 for U13/U14

2022 Spring Recreational In Town Soccer Programs

Micros Program (2016-2018)

A clinic program designed for young children being introduced to the game.

This program is a normally 8 weeks with a program that mixes a repetitive program and games which helps younger children with confidence and learning.

Sessions
-Coed
-Led by Professional Trainers Saturdays at Gillis Field (Talmadge Park)
-Times 9-9:45am, 10-10:45am
-Eight (8) (as weather permits - EHYS plans for 10-11 weeks of available weeks)
-45 minute sessions total
-Players are broken into smaller groups for various games (obstacle course, simon says, mother may I, clear the forest) for the first half followed by Small Sided Games (3v3, 4v4) to encourage more touches on the ball and more FUN.

-Equipment
-Supplied: shirt (distributed to players to keep), soccer balls
-Required: shin guards
-optional: cleats

We need Parent Volunteers to help manage weekly sessions.
Parents are not expected to run the practice but help the trainers throughout the session.





In-House League (2013-2015)

Specifically designed to introduce the game to U7-U9 players.
We need Parent Volunteers to help manage weekly sessions.
Parents are not expected to run the practice but help the trainers throughout the session.

Sessions
-boys and girls split in different groups as number allows
-minimum of 1 week night session led by Professional Trainer with parent coaches (Tuesdays for boys, Thursdays for girls) , but will go both nights for each when sunlight allows.
-Games on Saturday Mornings run by parent coaches with oversight as needed.
-Times 10am-1pm
-Eight (8) games
-60 minute sessions total; however extra weeks may be added
-Small Sided Games (4v4) to encourage more touches on the ball and more FUN.

Teams:
-Volunteer Team Parent
-5-8 Players (the smaller the teams the more fun for the kids)

Equipment Supplied:
-shirt (distributed to players)
Required: shin guards covered by socks, size 3 BALL (league has soccer balls for players that dont have them/forget them)
Highly Encouraged: Soccer cleats

Please note: EHYS. does not guarantee a specific amount of practices for the Fall/Spring seasons. Weather can be a factor and make-up practices are not guaranteed.
