The Stoneham Soccer Club Travel Team Program (“SSC”) provides players a more competitive level of soccer and a wide range of experience within the game of soccer. The program was founded to foster the development of individual soccer skills and the attitudes of spirit, cooperation and responsibility, among the youth of the Town of Stoneham. We look at our program as a training ground for a player’s next level of soccer whether it is the next age group or the high school and college levels. We want a program that provides these institutions with well trained, disciplined, and motivated athletes.
Because the travel program is inter-community competition, there is incentive to instill inplayers a sense of community pride. Therefore, each coach is required to alternate all players during the game so that each child is allowed to participate in each game. Anyone who wishes may register to play on a travel team, town team, or preferably both.
SSC is focused on sustaining a soccer program for the Town of Stoneham that is fair to participants, administered professionally and one that residents can be proud of.
