COVID-19 UPDATE - SOCCER

With safety as our primary focus, MSC is closely monitoring incoming information from the Town of Manchester, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), As we all continue to grapple with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we are reminded of the importance of working together to get through these difficult times. The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA), and US Youth Soccer (USYS) and have made the following determinations:Spring programs:At this time, any imposed bans or cancelations do not affect our spring season which is scheduled to begin mid-April and we look forward to resuming organized activities. This is a hard time for all of us, but we do not need to panic, we just need to be smart and control the situation. We are concerned about every player, colleague, friend, and neighbor. Clearly, balancing all of the interests of all is an extraordinarily complex undertaking. I am so grateful to all of you and especially to those who daily help us chart the right course for the Club through this crisis. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide any updates at the appropriate time. This is a moment in history that transcends sport. While soccer is a significant thread in the fabric of our lives, there remains a bigger picture, which we must not lose sight of. Stay healthy, be smart, wash often and get tested if you have any symptoms. I hope we will get this games going soon! Manchester Soccer Club
