Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 Tryout Information

All players, both returning and new/prospective, must attend both tryouts for their respective age group in order to be considered for placement on a FUSA team.
The registration fee for tryouts is $75 (non-refundable). This is the only fee that you will be charged up front. Full season registration fees will be invoiced once your child is placed on a team. It is our goal to place all interested players on a FUSA team, however, this is dependent on having enough player interest to fill an entire team roster. For more information on the player selection process, please review the
information on our website. Roster placements will be communicated by mid-June. ALL tryout attendees will receive an email communication.
Additional details:
- Only Fairfield Residents are permitted to tryout.
- Registration is required. Absolutely no-walk ups. All players MUST be registered prior to tryouts.
- Players must register and tryout for their birth year.
- If your player is unable to attend one or both of the scheduled dates, please contact [email protected] in advance.
- Full-time goalkeepers should attend the May 4th GK Tryout Session plus Tryout #2 of the corresponding age group.
- League Participation:
U8 - U11 - All teams will participate in the CJSA Travel League (2 practices per week + at least 1 weekend game)
U12 - U15 Black teams (Premier) will participate in the EDP League (3 practices per week + at least 1 weekend game)
U12 - U15 Red & White teams (Travel) will participation in CJSA Travel League (2 practices per week + at least 1 weekend game)
NEW TO FUSA?
Join us for a free pre-tryout clinic for U8/U9/U10 (players born 2015-2017) in advance of tryouts to learn more about our program and meet some of the coaching staff.

Goal Keepers
Any player interested in attending goal keeper tryouts must register on the website, and send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
- Player Name (First/Last)
- Birth Year
- Current FUSA team
- Full Time or Part Time Goal Keeper
Full Time = looking to play only GK full time and not in field
Part Time = looking to play both GK and in the field
Registration Requirements
The following information must be provided by all players (returning and new) during the registration process.
- A Medical Authorization & Injury Release Form. Players will not be permitted on the field for tryouts unless a Medical & Injury Release Form is completed by a parent or guardian and on file with FUSA. This form is now completed online as a required part of the registration process (Click here to read the form but please note the form must be completed online).
- A current photo of the player (face only). A head shot photo is required for player and coach passes and team rosters can be uploaded during the registration process. Please provide a HEAD-SHOT picture as this will end up as a small 1"x1" image on a pass/roster and it needs to be clear. If you are having trouble uploading a picture, just ask your kids for help.
- A copy of the player's official government issued birth certificate or passport. This is a Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) requirement for proof of age. A copy of the birth certificate can be uploaded during the registration process.
- Payment of the $75 Registration Fee.
