WHGSL Junior Division
Team:
Team size averages 13-16 players per team.
The Game:
Junior Division plays games with 9 vs. 9 players on a smaller than regulation size field with full-size goals. This optimizes the amount of ball 'touches' each player gets. WHGSL junior division plays 4, 15-minute quarter. We are committed to giving every player an opportunity to play an uninterrupted quarter.
Time Commitment:
Fall: All practice/games are played at Sedgwick Middle School. The soccer season is 8-10 weeks long. There are averages of 10 games per season. Most weekends there is one game, although there will be one or two weekends with double games. The fall season is our competitive season and placements for the team are tracked.
Spring: Spring season games are played at Glover Soccer Complex. Most weekends there are two games.
The Season:
The soccer season is 8-10 weeks long.
Fall: There are two practices per week at Sedgwick Middle School. Practices usually begin during the last week of August and the season is over by early November. Fall is our competitive season. There will be team standings with semi-finals leading up to a championship game at the end of the season.
Spring: Teams practice one day per week at Glover Soccer Complex. Practices usually begin mid-April and the season is over by early June. Games are played on Sat/Sun mornings.
Equipment Needed:
Size 4 soccer ball, shin guards, cleats, water bottle
The club provides uniform:
1 jersey, 1 short, and 1 pair of socks
