The League was formed in the 1970’s in basically the same format we have today.

During the 1983/84 season, an idea formed to start a Wallingford Tournament for travel teams to visit our town in August to play a couple of games before the fall season began. This Tournament still exists in the form of TWIST(The Wallingford Invitational Soccer Tournament) which hosts over 100 teams from all around the Region and occasionally from Canada and England.

Also, at the end of the Spring season in June, we hold a Tournament/Jamboree called SHOUT for our In-house teams ages 7-10 at the East Center fields. It’s a great family time with refreshments taken and team pictures handed out.
