Greetings Players, Parents, Family Members and Coaches, 

With the 2022 Baseball/Softball season here, the Morrisville Baseball/Softball Club Board of Directors wish to welcome and thank all new and returning coaches, and take this opportunity to discuss officiating, athlete and spectator expectations.  

Throughout the season volunteer umpires will be officiating. Please join us in supporting these people and if you are interested in helping to umpire let us know.  It is the mission of Morrisville Baseball/Softball Club to instill the principles of good sportsmanship, and teamwork in the youth of our local area. Unsportsmanlike behavior towards an umpire from the coaches, players, or parents will not be tolerated.

Coaches: 

Please remember that it is your responsibility to maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone during practice and game time. If a parent/spectator or athlete is exhibiting unsportsmanlike behavior, the situation should be addressed firmly and quickly.

Parents: 

Please support our volunteer coaches by reviewing the following expectations with your child:

Be Prepared: Please have your player ready to go at their field before the start of practice and games so that we can begin on time. Coaches will inform players and parents ahead of time what that exception is. 

Speak with respect to teammates and coaches at all times. 

Listen when coaches are speaking. 

Players who do not follow the expectations above may be asked to sit out during the practice and/or game. 

In addition, we would like to suggest the following guidelines for being a supportive spectator:

Let the coaches do the coaching. Please refrain from shouting instructions to the kids, as this can cause confusion when conflicting messages are received. 

Finally, parents, if your player is going to miss a game because of a conflict or sickness please email/text your coach in advance as this does impact practice and games.
