Extreme Flag Covid-19 Safety measures

Due to concerns surrounding the Covid-19 Coronavirus and with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other health authorities, Extreme Flag Football (EFF) is proactively implementing new, mandatory health and safety procedures. These new procedures are designed to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other illnesses.

“No-Handshake” Policy

EFF is implementing a “no-handshake policy” to be observed by every participant of the organization until further notice. This includes all customary game-related activities, such as pre-game handshakes, coin-toss handshakes, and post-game handshakes between members of opposing teams. We are finalizing a new, contactless, display of sportsmanship that will be shared with all coaches and members prior to the restart of the season.

Good Hygiene Practices

All volunteers, participants, and families at EFF games, practices and events should maintain the following good hygiene practices to prevent the spread of any germs:

  1. Wash your hands often, using soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time

  2. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol; this is suggested after any physical contact with another person or with a shared surface.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

  4. Cover your mouth and nose – with a tissue, if possible – when coughing or sneezing, then properly discard the tissue in the trash

  5. Avoid close contact with anyone else who is coughing or sneezing or who is otherwise sick (any participant showing any symptoms of illness will be removed from practices or games until symptoms

  6. Clean or disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (including footballs, flags, etc.)

Parents are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer for practices and games.

No “Team” or sharing of Water Bottles

The use of others football equipment, including sharing water bottles is prohibited. Each participant will need to provide their own water bottle during all practices and games.
