2024 Season Info

We are in the process of rebuilding the Challenger Program for District 7.  We plan to open online registration March 31, 2024.  On March 31, 2024, we will print registrations and start building teams.  If a player is registered on April 1, 2024 or later - they will be placed on a temporary wait list.  They will be placed as space allows.

Challengers ALWAYS needs volunteers to help players.  As volunteers will have repeated contact with players, background checks will need to be done (it's a Little League requirement).  More information will be given regarding how to complete this task.

We are looking to start the season on April 1 and finish June

There is no charge to register your player.  The District will provide a t-shirt jersey and a hat.

The player/family is responsible for:  pants (baseball or sweats), socks, shoes (cleats aren't necessary - if they are cleated shoes, they CAN NOT BE METAL).   The District will provide a T for the ball to be hit off, a few player helmets that will be shared, and a few bats.

If a family chooses to purchase a helmet please be aware:
The batting helmets must be affixed with the NOCSAE symbol, be free of cracks or other visible damage, and all of the internal padding must not be missing, tattered, torn or frayed. No stickers are permitted on the helmets, unless there is a letter of certification from the helmet manufacturer affirming  the stickers are permitted to be affixed to the helmet.

If a family chooses to purchase a bat, please be aware:
Tee Ball bats maybe used in the Challenger Divisions. Under the USABat standard, certified Tee Ball bats (26″ and shorter) will feature the USA Baseball mark and text which reads ONLY FOR USE WITH APPROVED TEE BALLS. All Tee Ball bats must feature USA Baseball mark and accompanying text.

A bat shall not be more than 33 inches in length; nor more than 2⅝ inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30″) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed sixteen (16) inches from the small end. NOTE:  Solid one-piece wood barrel bats do not require a USA Baseball logo.
