EAST ATLANTA USL ACADEMY
HEAD COACH
SCOTT REDDING

Scott Redding competed for four years as a member of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer team at Wofford College. During his time at Wofford, he helped the program earn both Southern Conference Regular Season Champions and Southern Conference Tournament Champions titles. He was also selected for the Southern Conference Fall All-Academic Team, the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, and was most notably a member of Wofford’s starting eleven for the team’s first ever trip to the NCAA National Tournament.

Following his collegiate career, he began both his professional coaching and playing career with Emory Oxford College and the Georgia Revolution. As assistant coach for Emory Oxford, Redding helped the program to four consecutive Regional appearances; five consecutive Team Academic Awards; ten All-Americans; a District Championship; the team’s first perfect regular season (15-0-0); and the program’s highest ever postseason ranking of #2 in the nation, with a final record of 18-1-1 and the title of National Championship Finalist. At the conclusion of the season, he was also named the Regional Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. As a player for the Georgia Revolution, Redding was deemed the Revolution’s Player of the Year, aided the team to multiple playoff appearances, a Southeast Conference Co-Champions title, and two trips to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

As a Head Coach for the Revolution, he led the Georgia Revolution Reserves to their first ever championship title, their first trip to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, and led the Georgia Revolution’s First Team in their inaugural trip to the NISA Cup. Academically, Redding spent five months overseas in Chile playing soccer and studying, to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Wofford College.

He has also earned a minor in business, a Masters in Sports Administration from Georgia State University, and holds licenses and diplomas from both the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He is currently the Director of Coaching for the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA) and the newly appointed head coach for the East Atlanta Legends USL-Academy.
