Meet the New Legion Coach!

The Board of Directors of Boyertown Youth Baseball, Ltd., is please to introduce Justin Konnick as the new head coach of the Boyertown American Legion Baseball Bears for the 2021 season. Konnick will serve as Assistant Coach to Rick Moatz for the 2020 season.

Konnick brings to the post a vast store of experience. A former High School (1995-1997) and Legion (1995-1998) Bear who was selected as Team Captain for each organization, Konnick graduated from West Chester University in 2001 with an A.S. in Education; he was also team captain of the West Chester baseball team. Konnick began coaching in 2001 as Assistant Baseball Coach at Boyertown High School. He served in that position for 10 years as the team won 3 Berks County Championships and 5 PAC-10 Championships. Konnick then became as Assistant Head Coach at Penn State Berks in 2012 before assuming the head coaching duties in 2013. Since then, Konnick has become the winningest coach in the history of the program, compiling an overall record of 148-121-1 and winning 4 NEAC Championships.

The owner/operator of Gridiron Services of Gilbertsville, PA since 2011, Justin Konnick brings an outstanding background of baseball experience and community service. The Board is pleased to welcome him to his new position, and in that light wishes to share its enthusiasm about the future of Boyertown baseball.
