2020 LRPD FALL BASEBALL RULES
The Fall Program is organized as an “Instructional” League.
Eligible Players
Mustang League – Players of league age 8 & 9 born between September 1, 2010 and
August 31, 2012, inclusive.
Bronco League – Players of league age 10 & 11 born between September 1, 2008 and
August 31, 2010, inclusive.
Pony League – Players of league age 12 & 13 born between September 1, 2006 and
August 31, 2008, inclusive.
The age groups are based upon the Summer 2021 Pony Baseball League.
Neighborhood boundaries will be followed. If a neighborhood does not have enough registrations to field a team the Recreation Department will assign the player(s) to a neighborhood.
All games will be played on Saturdays with teams allowed to practice twice per week during the season and three times per week prior to the start of the season.
Each Neighborhood Host may charge an Admissions Fee of $1 per Adult, 17 and older. This in conjunction with Concessions Revenues will be used to offset the costs of Umpires.
Full uniforms are not required, there will be no awards, there will be no post-season and scores and records will not be kept.
Official PONY Baseball Rules (Sporting News Edition) will apply with all Parish exceptions and with the following exceptions:
- A batter will enter the batter’s box with a one ball and one strike count.
- The time limit will be 1 & ½ hours.No new batter will bat after the 1 & ½ hour limit.If a game is tied it will end in a tie.
- All participants on a team will play offensively at the same time.All players will bat before the lead off hitter hits again.The half inning will conclude when the third out is made.
- Defensive players are not allowed to sit on the bench for two consecutive innings and no more than three innings per game.
- Each team will provide two game balls per game.
6) Every pitcher will be limited to a maximum of 5 innings per day and 3 innings per game.
