Renwick Renegades Developmental Academy
The goal of the Fall Renegades Developmental Academy is to provide additional development opportunities for players wishing to play baseball in the fall under the umbrella of the City’s Friendswood Youth Baseball (FWYB) program.
Academy Details:
The program will be offered to 6U-12U divisions.
A group of 20-30 players (if applicable) will be selected per age division based on an open tryout after the 2023 All-Star season concludes.
Season will begin in August 2023 - November 2023.
Practice and tournament schedules will be created by the General Manager (GM) and assistant coaches.
About the team:
Each age group (division) will function as one team in the academy. This could be 20-30 players.
Divisions will be governed by a GM who will manage the 20-30 player team.
The GM will select coaches to assist with development programs, practices, player management, and tournaments (if applicable). The GM and assistant coaches will have unified messaging and coaching philosophies.
A division could be divided into two teams on a per tournament basis.
Tournaments are not guaranteed but will be scheduled with the GM and assistant coaches if applicable.
Developmental Opportunities
If you are not a part of the Renegades team, you can still benefit from The Renegades Developmental Academy. The Academy will host monthly camps and clinics for coaches and players that will focus on baseball fundamentals and provide resources and tools for league coaches.
There may be costs associated with some teams, camps or clinics. More information will be communicated once finalized.
You do not have to participate in the FWYB recreational fall baseball league in order to participate in the Fall Season of Renwick Renegades Baseball.
