Vipers crowned 12U - AA champs!

The North Platte Vipers came into the championship game with a 4-0 record to play Hastings and their 3-0 mark after the Thunder earned a first round bye coming out of pool play. The Vipers took an early lead 1-0 on a solo homer after one inning. North Platte plated seven more runs in the top of the second inning when weather forced play to be paused with two outs and an 8-0 lead. After a few brief periods of some heavy rain making slippery conditions on the mound and batter's boxes along with enough lightning concerns in the area, the game was unfortunately called. The final score reverted back to the completion of the first inning giving the Vipers a 1-0 win. Congratulations to the Vipers and the Thunder for both being undefeated to advance to the championship!
