REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Registration for the 2019-2020 Winter Basketball and Cheer season is open!

UPBC is a not for profit basketball and cheerleading club for student athletes that are current parishioners of Parishes within the York County, PA Deanery. UPBC competes in the York Adams Youth Basketball (A&B) Leagues. Available basketball programs are as follows:
1. Rink (Boys and girls) - third and fourth graders
2. Junior (Boys and girls) - fifth and sixth graders
3. Senior (Boys) - seventh and eighth graders
Cheerleading is for those cheerleaders in the third through sixth grades and will practice once per week at St. Joseph (York). The coach will determine which games the cheerleaders will attend.

Basketball skills assessments will be held in October to determine which level would best support your child(ren)'s growth. Practices will be held @ least twice per week (depending on grade level) starting in late October or early November. Home game courts will be at St. Joseph (York) and St. Patrick. Potential practice locations include Immaculate Conception (St. Mary's), St. John's Lutheran (Mt. Rose Avenue), First Church of the Brethren, St. Joseph (York), and St. Patrick. Games are scheduled by the York/Adams League and are held on Saturdays and Sundays from the beginning of December through the beginning of February. End of season tournament weekends (one per team) are scheduled throughout February. All uniforms are owned by UPBC and there is a fee if they are not returned. All families (everyone with children in the basketball or cheer program) are expected to volunteer to help our program be successful. This can be done through coaching (clearances required), running the clock/scoreboard, keeping the score book, admissions table and concessions (kitchen). Every family is expected to cover anywhere from 2-5 shifts during the season. Additional help will be needed if we host a tournament (pre-season or end of season).

The registration fee for the 2019-2020 season is $100 for basketball and $50 for cheer.
