Tony Richardson Retires as District 11 NJ Administrator

Tony’s service to little league began in 1985 as a t-ball coach.  Developing his coaching skills, he went on to manage a Howell Central team all the way to the Senior League World Series in 1992.  District 11 League Presidents elected him District Administrator in 1996, a position he has held continuously since then.  Friendships developed with other Districts led to Tony being elected as NJ Little League State Director for 10 years.  Active with Eastern Region Staff, Tony served on the Eastern Regional Director Advisory Board for 10 years.

Professionally, he retired in 1999 from the FBI after 30 years of service, and since then has specialized in private investigations.  He was instrumental in the design and startup of the Volunteer Application and background check components of the Little League Child Protection Policy.  From there he served on the LLBB LL Presidents Advisory Board for 4 years. In 2007 received the LLBB Peter J. McGovern Distinguished Service Award. In 2014, his fellow D.A.’s elected him to a 4-year term on the LLBB International Board of Directors.

After 30 plus years Tony is stepping aside as Pete Lokerson becomes the new District 11 District Administrator.  In Tony’s own words, “this will be the first time in 25 years I have not attended the LL World Series in Williamsport, PA. Please give Pete the support and dedication you gave me. I will be around if he needs me, LLBB is in my DNA, and I will always be there if needed.

God Bless; Stay Safe”
