Spring 2023 Recreational Soccer Registration

Spring Registration opens February 15, 2023, 5:00 PM

Micro U4 - U7
The emphasis is totally on fun and participation. It is a co-ed intramural program run entirely within our Club. Parents serve as coaches and referees. There are only three players from each team on the field during games with no goalkeepers, so everyone is involved in the play. Team size is 5 - 7 players to ensure players are getting lots of ball time.  Fields are small & playing time is equal. The practices can begin in March. There are six games on consecutive Saturdays starting mid April. Practices are set by the volunteer coach, and games are at Explorer Middle School.  Games are Saturday mornings, and usually, start at 8:30, 9:30 or 10:30 AM.

Mod U8 - U11
The emphasis is mainly on fun and participation, but there is a minor element of competition. Teams are gender specific (boys and girls). Teams and fields are still small and grow slightly with each age group. The program begins in March. Teams are formed and operated by our Club. Parents serve as coaches and managers, but trained referees are used for games. Every player gets to play at least 50 percent of every game unless there are discipline problems. Games are organized by NCYSA. Your team will generally play teams from neighboring clubs, but you may play other MYSC teams, as we are one of the larger clubs in the league. No game standings are kept. There are six games on consecutive weekends starting mid April.  Games can be played on Saturday or Sunday.

Recreational U12 - U19
There is still a large emphasis on fun and participation, but the competitiveness increases. Teams and fields are full sizes. The program begins in March. Teams are gender specific (boys and girls). Parents serve as coaches and managers, but trained referees are used for games. Every player gets to play at least 50 percent of every game unless there are discipline problems. Games are organized by NCYSA and teams will travel to the entire area of the league including Monroe, Granite Falls, Arlington, Snohomish, Whidbey Island, Lake Stevens. Standings are kept for all games. There are six games on consecutive weekends starting mid April. Divisions are formed based on the previous records of the teams. There is no win/loss history for U11 teams, so placement in divisions is random. This can cause some lopsided results. Divisions generally consist of six teams.

  • Select the appropriate division for your child, answer all the questions and acknowledge all waivers.
  • Complete the transaction
  • Have questions? Email us at [email protected]

Players are placed on teams based on their birth year. Returning players that played up the previous year are “grandfathered” in. If your child is on a returning team as a play up player, you will need to register him/her based on his/her birth year. Once registered, our registrar will manually move the player up to his/her returning team.

All players must wear shin guards and athletic shoes/cleats to all practices and games. It is also helpful if players bring their own soccer ball with their name on it, and a water bottle.
