12U MH Pilots Finish 2nd at Lake Throw Down Tournament

The 12u Mountain Home Pilots Baseball team finished 2nd play in the Lake Throw Down USSSA Tournament in Heber Springs. The Tournament was held on May 25 and 26. Head Coach Bryan Corbett says the team has worked so hard since the first day we practiced to together. The Coaches asked the players to give us their best and to leave everything they had on the field and to never give up or get down on themselves or the team. The boys played like they had been together for years! We hit the ball from the top to the bottom of the line up and everyone did what was asked of them. The boys earned there spot in the championship game and played a team that has been together for quite a while that is really close to AAA status. The team made us very proud and fought so hard against a team that no one else had even scored a run against all weekend but us. We came out and gave them everything we had and even though we lost the since of pride in the accomplishment and how well we played the best team there was very high! This team has turned the corner and we have so many more wins yet to come!  Brenden Setzer and Eric Foster also achieve their first out of the park home run. The team will be playing later in June for the USSSA state title in Greenwood, Arkansas. The Mountain Home Pilots baseball program is in its first year of operation.
