Leigh Rumbold

Director of Coaching and Player Development, Coach of 06 Boys Black, 07 Boys Black,  and 09 Boys Black

Leigh hails from Heatherside, England. He currently holds a National C Coaching License and a FA Level 2 coaching license. Prior to arriving at Saline FC in 2013, Leigh had made over 250 competitive appearances for semi-professional sides Farnborough Town, Fleet Town and Slough Town football clubs in his native England. In 2015 Leigh had a spell in New Zealand, winning the Lotto Federation league with Team Taranaki. More recently, Leigh has represented, and had league successes with local sides Lansing United and AFC Ann Arbor in the NPSL.

Leigh played for Farnborough Football Club (ENG), Fleet Town Football Club (ENG), Slough Town Football Club (ENG), Team Taranaki (NZ), Lansing United, and AFC Ann Arbor

Leigh coached as Saline FC 7v7 Technical Director, MSYSA ODP Coach,  Saline High School Men Varsity Assistant Coach, SCL Site Leader, Youth Elite Soccer, Challenger Sports and is currently the Saline High School Women's Varsity Soccer Coach.


 



Kevin Taylor

9v9 Technical Director, coach of 07 Boys Gold, 10 Boys Black, 10 Boys Gold, and 12 Boys Gold

Coach Kevin brings some significant creed to the field as a four year Florida ODP player, a four year starter at U of M, and a professional career that includes playing MLS for the Colorado Rapids. He’s the highest scoring defender in U of M history and the first U of M player to be drafted into MLS. He has coached at other local clubs including the Michigan Tigers and MPSA Crush. He currently holds a National C Coaching License.


 



Sebastian Lindner

7v7 Technical Director, coach of 11 Boys Black and 14 Boys Black

Sebastian grew up in Berlin, Germany and started playing soccer when he was 5 years old. During his youth, he played for SC Charlottenburg which is one of the biggest clubs in Berlin. Because of multiple injuries during his time as a player, he never made the move to one of the bigger clubs. Instead, Sebastian started coaching. He began his coaching career with one of the best coaches in Berlin. Sebastian has an E Level license as well as a Level A coaching certification through the German Soccer Association which is for coaching ages 7 to 12.


 



Victor Plasse

Coach of 13 Boys Black, 13 Girls Black, 13 Girls Gold, 16 Boys Black, and 16 Boys Gold

Victor was born in Togo, but spent some years in Ghana growing up and playing soccer there through the academics. When he moved to Lyon, France to continue playing, he decided and chose to pursue his educational goals first. From Saline High, he now attends the Oakland University's graduate program and played there during his undergraduate. Victor is the Head Coach for all Milan Men's and Women's High School teams. He is an MSYSA - ODP Coach. Victor holds a National C Coaching License. He started working with Saline FC a few years ago starting with the REC and has since fallen in love with the organization, parents and the kids.





Haitham Gazal

Coach of 12 Boys Black and 15 Boys Black

Haitham grew up in Dubai, UAE and started playing soccer at a young age. He played soccer through high school and moved to Toledo Ohio to pursue his college degree. There he played college soccer throughout his educational years. Currently Haitham still enjoys playing soccer, indoor, futsal and MUSL outdoor soccer. He started coaching Rec in 2012 and fell in love with coaching the game. Haitham currently holds a National C Coaching License. Prior to arriving at Saline FC, he coached select/premier teams at WWSL Arsenal.





Nick Marecle

Coach of 11 Girls Black, 15 Girls Black,  and 15 Girls Gold

Nick was raised in Ypsilanti till the age of 4 and moved to Saline and has been living here since. He started playing soccer when he was 5 years old with Saline Area Soccer Association (currently Saline FC) being his organization to play through. He went on and played club soccer at WCC for a year and half. He coached in Milan for their recreational group and later a year and a half for their Travel program. Nick currently holds a National D Coaching License.




Austin Smalls-Valentine

Director of Goalkeeping, Coach of 12 Girls Black, 14 Girls Black, 14 Girls Gold,  16 Girls Black, and 16 Girls Gold

Austin will be starting his role of Director of Goalkeeping in June 2021, as well as coaching some teams. Austin previously spent a number of years coaching at Liverpool Ann Arbor. He is the current Goalkeeping Coach at UofM Dearborn and the Varsity Boys at Saline High
School. Coach Austin also serves as the Saline Varsity Girls Assistant Coach. He currently holds a National D Coaching License.




Bella Petrock

Coach of 12 Girls Gold

Bella, who grew up in Saline and saw the early start of her soccer career under the Saline FC program, is proud to return to her roots after graduating from Ashland University with a Bachelor's of Science in the summer of 2022. Throughout her early years as a player, Bella trained under a variety of competitive clubs around the region, in addition to a 2015 state championing girls’ Varsity team for Saline High School, before advancing to compete collegiately for a successful four years within the Ashland women's soccer program. Also, a player of Ann Arbor FC's inaugural women's team, Bella was fortunate to be immersed in the embracing and competitive local soccer culture. After assisting with the high school girls’ Junior Varsity team this year, Bella is thrilled to continue coaching young athletes as she starts up her career as a personal fitness trainer. 






Logan Kuhlman

Coach of 11 Boys Gold, and 14 Boys Gold

Logan grew up in the small town of Swanton, Ohio just outside of Toledo. His playing career ended after high school while he was still able to enjoy playing in adult indoor and outdoor leagues while he attended the University of Toledo. He first started his coaching journey at Clay high school in his last years of college. He then moved into Michigan just outside of the Ann Arbor area where was granted the opportunity to continue coaching by Saline FC’s own Victor Plasse where he coached at Milan High School and followed Victor along to Plymouth High School where he is currently coaching with the girl's soccer program. Logan is excited to continue his coaching career as he is starting this year with Saline FC and in the women’s goalkeeping coach position at Concordia University.




Matt Twiss

Coach of 13 Boys Gold, and 07 Girls Black

Coach Matt grew up in Adrian after moving from California at a young age. Graduated and played at Lenawee Christian, before completing a double major in English and Spanish from Siena Heights. After that completed a Master's in Soccer Coaching through Ohio University and United Soccer Coaches. He also holds a USSF C, USC Goalkeeping Level 3, and multiple other USC special topics. He has previously coached at Siena Heights and Adrian College men's teams, ODP, and is the current girls varsity coach at Tecumseh High School. Matt has been coaching since 2012.







Rhys Moller

Coach of 15 Boys Gold

Rhys grew up in Dexter, Michigan.  He spent his early years playing for Dexter Soccer Club, before moving over to Michigan Wolves Academy teams.  He played two years at Dexter High School before going to a 10-month club season.  After High School he moved on to play collegiately at Cornell University.  Rhys currently plays in goal for local semi-professional side AFC Ann Arbor and has a strong connection with players in the local area.  He has previously coached for the Concordia University Women’s team, Legends FC, ODP,  Michigan Thunder, and is the current girl's varsity coach at Dexter High School.  Rhys currently holds his USSF D License.
