Games and Weather

FGSLL usually, as a league, will not cancel any games. We leave that decision to the coaches and umpires. Coaches usually arrive to the fields first and can assess the condition and playability of the fields. If there is standing water on the fields that cannot be remediated before game time OR if other field or weather conditions exist (mud, ice, nearby lightning, etc) that render the field unsafe for play, coaches may cancel the game before the game begins. Should the game be underway, the decision is up to the umpires as to whether to postopone or cancel a game.
