ASG/BAYSG Combined Regional Showcase Teams
Girls 00, 01, 02, 03, 04 (birth years)
In May of 2015, several coaches got together in the Panhandle of Florida and charted a course to put the best players together that they could assemble and provide them with the best training and best opportunity for college exposure. In the days of talking points about ECNL, Composite ECNL, Pre-ECNL, DA, Pre-DA, etc., the mission was simply to provide consistency, stability and the highest level of training and competition possible. Thus, the formation of BAYSG; a combination of the Panama City-Bay Area and the Tallahassee based ASG. We have achieved a great deal!
Last year both graduating seniors signed to play collegiately. Taylor Cherry plays for Florida Southern. Autumn Raulerson plays for Grace College.
This year the following seniors have signed the following letters of intent:
LeFaren Donaldson Albany State University
Julianna Heuchan Randolph Macon University
Gabby Looker University of Mobile
Peyton Peffers University of West Florida
Victoria Routt Florida Southern
There are two graduating seniors who have had numerous offers for the opportunity to play, but they have elected to pursue a focus on solely academics. One of those will be the valedictorian of her class and the other isn’t far behind at her school. The players, as well as the coaching staff, take pride in players who are able to embody the role of a student-athlete.
There are three of our juniors who have already verbally committed. They are:
Liney Brantley Appalachian State University
Clare Keenan Coastal Carolina
Emma McGibany Appalachian State University
The remainder of our players in the 00, 01 and 02 age groups all have interest from numerous colleges. This is by virtue of both squads competing in the highest level showcases attainable as well as winning them, being ranked in and around the top 10 in the state, winning the Round of 16 in State Cup for the second year running and advancing to the Round of 8 in State Cup as well as numerous other accolades. The senior girls are champions of the Florida State Premier League and the junior girls are runners-up in the Florida State Premier League.
