PRE-ACADEMY
(U11 - U13)
Our PRE-ACADEMY program is primarily a "training focused" program meant to either be a player's primary soccer experience, or as a supplemental program for players that are members of BCSA or other township based travel teams. Each group will meet twice weekly (once for training and once for games). The games will be scheduled with the goal of eliminating conflicts with those players playing in other leagues. Each age group adds certain skills and tactics based on our development model at BCSA. Our Pre-Academy program is intended to develop both the attacking and defending sides of the game. Those graduating from this program should have developed a high level of "Soccer IQ". Weekly training sessions are 60 minutes in length and game format is 5v5.
Skill development is, as always, a top priority with this and all our programs. As players get older we stress more and more the proper tactical application of those skills. Pre-Academy players will focus on the quick application of skills during attack, defending and transition. Training sessions will be high tempo to simulate a true game environment.
The next stop for our PRE-ACADEMY graduates is to play for our ACADEMY program teams whose purpose is to help further develop our players and help them reach their goals of playing beyond Club and High-School soccer.
