Volunteering v. Requirements

SYAA Baseball/Softball is 100% volunteer operated. The Commissioners and Coaches are dedicating a tremendous amount of their time to teaching baseball, softball and team skills to our communities youth. Concessions management is also very important to the successful continuation of the ability to offer these life lessons to our young athletes.

These volunteers often spend as many hours supporting SYAA's success as most people give a full time job each week. They get to see their own children play 1, maybe 2 games per season and sacrifice those memories for all of SYAA. They don't do it for pay (100% volunteer), they do it so the community's youth have the opportunity to learn these skills and establish social skills and work ethics that will help them succeed in life. Most of all, they do it because they have the kind hearts and "service to others" personalities that we should all strive for.

**All non volunteering adult members (parents/guardians) of SYAA will be "REQUIRED" to fill the remaining needs to aide the continuing success of SYAA by providing a minimum of 4 hours to concessions, field work days, park cleanup days, tournament operations, etc. Each Season.
